Warriors Coach Daniel Anderson, the sensible lad that he is, has spoken against the Warriors having anything to do with a proposed Pacifika Super 12 team. Cullen Investments has had talks with the IRB about forming a Pacifika team to be based at Ericsson Stadium, the home of the Warriors. The Super 12 team would also have test status. However the NZRFU, any other member of SANZAR or any Pacific Island RU has been informed yet so the project seems very far off. Cullen Investments CEO Mick Watson has said the project would not effect or harm the Warriors in any way, however this project is bound to divert something away from the Warriors, at the very least Mick Watsons attention.
The warriors will be working on ball-handling skills after Daniel Anderson called their completion rate "abysmal" after the loss against the Eels. However, he did say that the trial hooker Paul Delzolt had a standout game.

In other news, Richard Villasanti will be out for a minimum of 6 weeks after hurting his knee in training. He collided with Thomas Leuluai!

The Warriors went down 24-22 against the Eels last night. The Warriors were up 10-nil in the first five minutes after Brent Webb scored one try and set another up. He scored one more and kicked two goals in the first half but the Warriors trailed 18-16 at the halftime break. Both teams scored a converted try in the second half.

The Warriors will be trialing a new hooker today against Parramatta. Former North Queensland Cowboy Paul Delzolt will be getting a run against the Eels. Daniel Anderson wants cover for the injured PJ Marsh. Monty Betham will be the clubs number one hooker for the start of the season by Anderson feels young Tevita Latu is risky and would like another option.
