The Warriors have signed former Roosters outside back Todd Byrne. It seems to be a solid decision as the Warriors needed one more back for 2005. He follows Ivan Cleary from the Roosters Premier league side where, by all reports, he had a cracker of a grand final.

Matt Utai will play for the Kiwis in the first test before having surgery on his ankle. As a result he will not be travelling to England.
